Our 2010 Mission Trip to Burkina Faso, West Africa was very successful. We served a Fulani clinic with much needed medical supplies, shots for the children and some adults. We also ministered in the local Fulani Church and other local villages.

Converge Mid-Atlantic Ukrainian Summit

History was made this October when for the first time a delegation of pastor’s and interpreter’s from Ukraine attended the Converge Mid-Atlantic Ukrainian Summit. The US sister church’s hosted our guest and provided plenty for them to do durning their visit.
The First Baptist Church of Glenarden missions team was especially glad to host Tania Martin (our own full-time missionary to the Ukraine), Pastor Peter and Pavlo (his interpreter) We dined sufficiently, toured the US Capitol, Veterans Memorial, the Monument and the White-house.
Pastor John Jenkins and Pastor Peter finally met for the first time. Our guest also worshiped with FBCG & Grace Cathedral and Pastor Peter’s family viewed on the internet and rejoiced when they saw their Pastor greeting the church.

New Orleans, LA May 1-7, 2010

This was our second trip to New Orleans, LA. Our team consisted of twenty seven people from at least six churches. Our assignment was to complete construction on three homes. We were able to complete our assignment, conduct prayer walks through the communities we worked in, and fellowship with and participate in worship with our host church. Many lives were impacted in a positive way, especially the homeowners we served.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2005 -2009 UKRAINE MISSION TRIPS

We are headed for the Ukraine April 13, 2010. We will visit and serve with Tania Martin, our full-time missionary. Minister at a local orphanage, English school in Rivne, then conduct a Marriage Conference & teach on character traits and etc. That’s the plan but we’re flexible to whatever way the Lord wants us to serve our Sister Church in the Ukraine! Please pray for us.

Burkina Faso, West Africa mission trip 2009

A Muslim Mosque 
Last October I was part of a vision mission trip to Burkina Faso, West Africa with FBCG. I had been on nine short-term mission trips but this was my first trip to Africa. Truth is, I avoided Africa. I’ve seen and heard how poor and primitive parts of Africa are, and I didn’t think that I would be able stomach seeing firsthand the plight of the people. Well to my amazement by God’s grace I was able to go there and experience the greatest trip I’ve ever been on. Howbeit, it was overwhelming at times but I am so glad that I went, so glad that we are planning to return this October. I’m still not able to put in words all that feel about our trip so allow me just to share some photos of our great journey.
